Groups & Tour Companys

All groups will consist of 15 or more persons. All groups must pay with one credit card and have one point of contact. There is a $35.00 per ticket, non-refundable deposit at the time of booking, to be paid either by credit card, or check. Checks must be in our office within 10 business days of order to hold seats. Group contracts will be required to be signed and returned with payment. Groups that have not signed their contract, any seats reserved will be released. Our excursion is a ROUND TRIP excursion and any groups wishing to go one way to Hinton, are welcome, however there are NO discounted rates for One-Way groups. One way groups are only permitted in Heritage Coach service. All groups ordering, no matter what time of year, are committed to these terms and conditions. If you choose Premium or Dome you MUST go round trip! Groups may not mix and match different services for a group rate. For group rates, groups must order all of the same class of service. Prices listed below are the group rates for each class of service:

In the Premium & Dome service, each ticket has Breakfast & Dinner included. In Heritage service, there are NO meals provided. Passengers may go to the Cafe Car on board the train to purchase light refreshments OR the group tour leader may purchase a boxed breakfast, lunch, in ADVANCED, at an additional cost. The prices are listed below.

Groups who purchase Heritage class tickets have the opportunity to purchase a boxed lunch for each member of thier group in advanced. Meals are $15 per person, per meal. All boxed meal orders will be required to be ordered no later than September 3, 2018 by 4:00 pm. Any groups that have not ordered boxed meals by 4:00 pm on September 3, will NOT receive any meals onboard the train. There are NO boxed meals offered if groups order Premium or Dome service. One way groups may also order meals with the same charges applied. Groups going one way will NOT receive a free meal.

Comp Tickets:

Groups that consist of 30 paying passengers or more, will be allowed one (1) complimentary ticket for their escort. Groups of 50 paying passengers or more will be allowed two (2) complimentary tickets. If group numbers fall below the required amount, comp tickets will be void. If the group is ordering boxed meals, there will be no comp meals for the comp tickets. Operators will be required to purchase boxed meals for their comp tickets.


All passengers on board the train will be assigned a specific car. In Heritage service, passengers will be assigned a car and an individual seat on that car. In Premium and Dome services, groups will be assigned a car. When boarding the train in Huntington, groups will be required to stand in line with all other passengers to board the train. Seats are not reserved in Premium and Dome. All of the cars on the train are different, with different seating configuations and different capacities. If groups purchase certain number of capacities, they will be assigned an entier car, or multiple cars. Please contact our office for more information.

Payments and Cancelation:

Deposits are non-refundable after and are due no more than ten (10) days after making reservations. Groups may cancel entire groups up until 4:00 pm on August 1st with loss of deposit. August 1st is also the deadline for full payment. Groups unable to sell all their tickets by August 1st, may pay in full for tickets already sold, and will be granted an extension to September 1st at 4:00 pm to sell the remainder of the tickets. After September 3rd at 4:00 pm, there will be no tickets returned. Any tickets returned betweenn August 1st and September 1st, will be subject to a $35 per ticket charge for canceling.

Handicap Disclaimer

Walking is required in Huntington and Hinton when boarding and deboarding the train. Grounds and step stools may be unstable due to unstable ground. Steps may be high and may require assistance. Our excursion train is NOT handicap accessable. We will NOT accept any style of motorized wheelchair or scooter. Fold up, non motorized wheelchairs and walked are acceptable. The group leader is responsible for letting us know of any mobility needs of thier passengers no later than September 3. Groups are also responsible for any assistance a passenger may need to board the train. We only have a limited number of help on board the train.

***Our trips will not be handicap accessible. Historic and antiquated rail passenger equipment, like that used on our excursions, are exempt from ADA regulations under U.S. Code: Title 42: Section 12184. The passenger cars and station facilities used on our excursions were constructed before disability accessibility laws were adopted. Platforms, boarding areas, stairs, step-stools, seating, and especially doorways, passageways, aisles, and on board restrooms may not accommodate all passengers. We will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate differently abled passengers who desire to ride one of our trips.
