Coming this December the Collis P. Huntington Railroad Historical Society, Inc, will be offering a scenic one day rail cruise up the Hudson River Valley. Relive the Golden Age of rail travel on the route of the 20th Century Limited aboard our vintage 1940s passenger cars. Soak in the beautiful Hudson River Valley scenery that was the background for Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint in North By Northwest. While the train slips north along the Hudson’s shore enjoy different local Empire State wines from vineyards along the route. Lunch will also be prepared and served on board our train by our on board servers.
Tthe wine train will depart New York Pennsylvania Station at 11:20 AM for a special 6-hour trip covering the famous Water Level Route, once part of the New York Central, traveling via Yonkers, Croton Harmon, Poughkeepsie, Rhinecliff, and terminating at Albany.. Lunch and local wine selections will be served on board and the train will return to Pennsylvania Station at 6:45 PM. Lunch will be served on board the train en route to Albany. Hors d'oeuvres will be served with wine and beer on the return trip to New York Penn Station. Tickets for this excursion will be $459 Per Person inclusive of all wine, beer, and food on board the train.
