50th
Anniversary
Collis P. Huntington RRHS will celebrate its 50th Anniversary
this August and we would like you to be a part of it. On
August 29th, 2009 the society will have any open house at the
office and indoor railroad museum on 1323 8th Ave in
Huntington, WV. Then on August 30th, 2009 there will be an
open house at the Railroad Museum on 14th St West and Memorial
Blvd. at the west end of Ritter Park. Free and open to the
Public on both of these days. Times yet to be determined check
back later.
Rail/Moter Coach Trips to The Greenbrier
WThe Greenbrier trip is another in a series of scenic excursions. Travel by Amtrak to The Greenbrier Resort, through the New River Gorge. We will return by motorcoach.
Since 1966, we have sponsored these memorable all-day treks.
The dates for the next adventures are June 28th, August 30th

Annual Greenbo Model Railroad Show
The 26th Annual Greenbo Model Railroad Show will be at Greenbo
Lake State Park near Greenup,, KY on March 21 & 22, 2009.
Operating layouts, collections, displays and 75 tables of
dealers! All Model Scales represented along with railroad
memorabilia and great food. Open to general public from
9AM till 7PM on Saturday and 9AM till 4 PM Sunday. Set ups:
3PM to 8PM on Friday. More details.
New York City
Bound
Travel
with the Collis P. Huntington Railroad Historical Society to
New York City with there two private railcars on the rear of
Amtrak’s Cardinal. We will travel through the 65 Mile New
River Gorge and over the Allegheny Mountains and up the East
Coast to New York City.
Come and travel
with us on either May 31st – June 3rd,2009 or on December
